Whether you're new to martial arts without any formal training, a weekend warrior occasionally enjoying a few bouts in the boxing ring or MMA classes, or even if you're a seasoned martial arts instructor, the goal of this website is to provide you with inspiration, ideas, and concrete methods to take you to the next level of truly being you.
My name is Nhan (pronounced like "young" with an "n" sound in front kind of like "knee-young" but one syllable) and I have a passion for health and happiness with a generous splash of excitement and a ferocious curiosity about human potential.

I practice what I preach and if I'm not sure whether something is bullshit or not, I'll say so. Occasionally I change my mind about something I was absolutely sure of and sometimes I'm flat out wrong, but I guarantee you honesty and results.
Like everyone else on the planet, I'm a work in progress as I explore all that life has to offer.
During my 25+ years in martial arts, nearly a decade of studies in traditional medicine, and life long experimentation with health and fitness, I've learned a few things that have helped others tremendously.
Taking the next step, I created True Self Martial Arts to share that knowledge with you and, of course, so that I might learn something from you as well.
